DM Screen 00262 – Digital Laser Cutting Files

This is a set of digital files for manufacturing a foldable DM screen on a CO₂ or diode laser machine.

The screen is designed to fit both A4 and Letter paper sizes. It consists of three main sections, a dice tower, and storage compartments for magnets and dice. Each section has a slot at the top for additional cards. Paper sheets are securely attached with 9 magnets (5 × 1 mm / 0.19 × 0.03 in) per panel. The backing is cut from 1 mm (0.03 in) felt, but you may substitute other materials if desired.

When assembled, the entire construction folds into a book form with a magnetic lock, making it convenient to store and carry.

Design and Development

This project took over two months of work, including multiple prototypes, edits, and improvements. The sample shown in the photos is cut from 3 mm (0.12 in / 1/8 in) birch plywood. All graphics are hand-drawn and easily customizable—you can add your own text, logos, or images. Despite using relatively thin plywood, the design is sturdy and durable, with 202 individual parts assembled and glued into one solid structure.

If your laser machine’s working area is smaller, this project is not suitable.

Magnet Requirements
27 round magnets – 5 × 1 mm (0.19 × 0.03 in)
2 magnets – 3 × 3 mm (0.11 × 0.11 in) for the magnetic lock
Magnet sizes can be adjusted in any vector editor.
