Seller Verification Process

Lovecraftify uses seller verification to help keep our marketplace trustworthy and reduce fraud. Verification may be required to enable payouts, unlock seller features, and/or display a “Verified” badge on your store.

Quick summary: Submit the required documents inside the Vendor Dashboard. Once we receive everything, the Lovecraftify team will review and verify your account within 1–2 days. If anything is missing or unclear, we’ll contact you to resubmit.

1) What verification is for

Verification helps Lovecraftify:

  • Confirm seller identity and reduce fraudulent stores
  • Protect buyers and sellers from abuse and chargeback risk
  • Support safer payouts and marketplace operations
Note: Requirements may vary depending on your country/region, payout method, business type, and risk signals.

2) What you may be asked to submit

Depending on your store, Lovecraftify may request one or more of the following:

Identity verification

  • Passport, National ID, or Driver’s License
  • Front and back images (when applicable)
  • Name and details must match your seller profile

Address verification

  • Bank statement or utility bill
  • Shows your name and address clearly
  • Recent document (commonly within the last 90 days)

Company verification (if applicable)

  • Business registration document
  • Tax ID / VAT ID (if required in your region)
  • Company name should match your provided details

Selfie verification (if required)

  • Live photo holding your ID
  • And a handwritten note with the current date
  • Used to confirm the person submitting is the ID holder
Important: Submit documents only through the official verification section in your Vendor Dashboard.

3) How to submit documents

To upload verification documents:

  1. Open Verification

    Go to My Account → Vendor Dashboard → Settings → Verification.

  2. Choose the verification type

    Select the section you need (Identity, Address, Company, or Selfie) and click Start Verification.

  3. Upload clear files

    Upload images or PDFs as requested. Make sure all text is readable and not cut off.

  4. Submit

    After uploading all required pages/files, submit the verification request.

4) Review timeline

Once we have received all required documents, the Lovecraftify team typically reviews and verifies seller accounts within 1–2 business days.

  • If information is missing or unclear, we’ll request resubmission.
  • High volume periods may cause slight delays, but we aim to stay within the 1–2 day window.

5) Document quality checklist

To avoid delays, please ensure:

  • All corners of the document are visible (not cropped).
  • Text and photo are clear (no blur, glare, or heavy shadows).
  • Details match your seller profile (name, address, etc.).
  • Files are valid and complete (front/back when required).
  • No edits or tampering (do not cover or modify critical fields).
Tip: Use natural light and avoid flash reflections to keep ID text readable.

6) If your verification is pending or rejected

If your status stays pending longer than expected or gets rejected:

  • Pending: Check whether every required section has been submitted (some sellers must submit more than one type).
  • Rejected: Re-upload clearer files, ensure matching details, and submit again.
  • If you still need help, contact support with your account email and store URL/slug.

7) Privacy & safety

Verification documents are used for identity and compliance purposes only. We take reasonable steps to protect submitted information and limit access to authorized staff and trusted service providers who support verification workflows.

Safety reminder: Never send sensitive documents via social media DMs. Use only the Vendor Dashboard verification upload.
